Managing Partner
David is responsible for performing closings, preparing loan documents and legal review of executed loan documents. Additionally, David oversees the preparation for and negotiation of real estate matters, the preparation of contracts of sale, transfer tax returns and ACRIS, deeds and closing documents, including the drafting and review of Consolidation Extension and Modification Agreements (CEMAs), ยง255 Affidavits and Lender Assignments of Mortgage. He prepares all documents necessary for cooperative housing transactions (Co-Ops), including Aztec recognition agreements, stock powers and all other necessary documentation.
David also performs review of lien searches and oversees full title review by examining preliminary title reports and final title policies, checking and reviewing hazard insurance binders and policies, and verifying the accuracy of settlement statements prior to funding. David oversees implementation of the firm’s funding procedures and oversees funding of all loans and other post-closing activities.
For the last four years, David has spent a substantial amount of time researching and expanding his expertise in the field of Reverse Mortgage transactions (HECMs). Our real estate department has specialized in the closing of reverse mortgages, making sure that borrowers are fully briefed in the intricacies of these sometimes complicated transactions.
He is an avid snowboarder and frequently travels to the northeast, and mid-west, with his wife and children. His other hobbies include photography, playing ice hockey and softball, and spends much of his free time enjoying live music.
